Re: cam/head combo ?'s
I wouldn't get the rockers until you decided on cam. Gotta make sure everything is compatible

Re: cam/head combo ?'s
I forgot I had the mm&ff mag. that has the head hunter stuff in it. So think I'm going to go with the gt40X turbo swirl heads since I'm still going to run the stock short block. Also jumping back and forth on the cam between b and e cam. Lee said the b makes good steady power and the e makes better peak. The cobra we got from eric has the b in it and I love the rough idle on it so prob go with it and use my 1.7 rockers. Should I go with the 58cc or 64cc? Also another reason the gt40x are under a grand.... Is anyone running this setup? Was wondering on hp and torque for this setup..

Re: cam/head combo ?'s
if you are planning on adding a blower or turbo down the road you better stay with the 64cc

$139 in Summit!!! It will outdo the B and E with 1.6's on it. Don't mess with the 1.7's. Also; go with the GT40-Y heads. I've seen them complete for around $700 a pair! With some light cleanup work; they'll flow great. Your tight budget will thank you.

Re: cam/head combo ?'s
Coupe the only reason I said the b or e cam was I already have some 1.7 rockers and was hoping to get by without buying new rockers.. What's the specs on the tfs cam? I found a place to get the gt40x for 995.00 and by the specs they flow a lot better than the gt40y and the edelbrock rpm heads from what the mm&ff mag. I've got..

Re: cam/head combo ?'s
Good price on the X heads. They're nicer yes.
As for the TFS cam: Duration... 221/225º @ .050. Somewhere around 276/281º advertised. Lift... .499 Intake .510 exhaust (with 1.6RR) .530 Intake .542 exhaust (with 1.7RR) It will work with your 1.7's...I still recommend trading them for 1.6's.

Re: cam/head combo ?'s
Coupe isn't that to much lift on the stock 302 with stock pistons... Reason I say that is I'm hearing about 520 is all I want to go with stock short block without breaking something...

Re: cam/head combo ?'s
When installed correctly; I've seen X-303 on stock engines. It's a .542/.542 cam. Always good to check clearance though before firing.

Re: cam/head combo ?'s
If you already have the 1.7's then I would just stick with something other than the TFS1. Also the crower 15511 is a good came for 94-95's and it will work with your 1.7's, the down side though is it is a $250 cam.
