sounds like your clutch cable may be too tight, allowing the tob to ride the clutch fingers when the clutch is disengaged. This will cause the clutch not to fully engage ....what kinda cable, quadrant do you have? if this is the case the tob will fail prematurely which is not covered by the manufacturer.

def to tight if it catches and releases at the top with barely touching it, it is too tight you want it about half way.

Is the noise a squeaking noise? Does it stop if you put a little pressure on the pedal? If so i would say it is definately the tob. My car did the same thing, it was time for a new clutch. So i replaced clutch,pp,tob, and flywheel. The bearings in the tob were toast. Causing it to squeal.

it is about half way down where it releases. if i loosen anymore it makes all kind of noise. i got all ford motorsport stuff. this is a spec stage 1 with about 2500 miles on it.

So it just started doing this? And it's a knocking? I would definitely pull it out for a look. Something might have loosened up. Impossible to tell without seeing it.

SPEC covers stuff (if it is actually related to a manufacturing failure) for 120 days.

I agree on the tob. Our focus has the same knocking sound and we have a spec in it as well

Another thought: Aluminum flywheel usually makes for a noisy clutch/bellhousing area. That's why the SVT Focus was making noise QWK.
