Might not be the axles then. I would upgrade them though if your getting a new locker.

since its 28 spline i have another locker. maybe try it again tomorrow at steele.

Yep, that's a very familiar sight for new-edge owners that use drag radials. Those 28-spline axles are major weaksauce.

I was going to say axle as well. I haven't seen a 8.8 break.

However I have seen several 96-up axles break

Werd. Explorers and f-150's have the 31 spline limited slips in them if you go that route. They work great and are cheap from pull a part places if you can find them. Some come with 3.55 and 3.73 gears.
