I know on the Fox 8.8's you can use 2 drivers side(I think) axles from a Ranger/Explorer.A lot of people go that route doing the 5 lug conversion since the older Rangers had the 28 spline axles.I'm not sure what year they started going to the 31's though.As a matter of fact I have a 31 spline carrier,with the side,and spider gears that I pulled out of an Explorer at the pull a part a couple of weeks ago for the gears.

Yep, the coupe is sporting a 31-spline carrier out of an F-150 along with moser axles. So far they have held up very well.

Well,the carrier I have would'nt work since it has the exciter ring for the ABS mounted to it(unless you left the ring on,or did alot of shimming),as far as the disc brakes go,the newer Explorer's have 4 wheel discs.

similar set up to me
f150 carrier and pressure spring, double stacked friction plates, mosers 31's and arp studs
