Brake upgrade mod idea....
I've been thinking about this for quite awhile, and it looks like it would be a fairly straightforward bolt on.'95-up Explorer front brake calipers (which are twin piston) on SN-95 spindles.I measured the caliper bracket hole size/distance between the ones on my coupe, and the ones on Tonya's Explorer, and IIRC,they are the same.Has anyone heard of,or thought about this besides Marc and myself?

How much are the explorer ones? I know you can get pbr dual pistons from newer model mustang gt's and I believe some of the v6 cars had them.

But mainly curious to see if they will interchange.
I can get the Explorer ones for around $10 each.I've been looking down there for the PBR's,but they don't have any SN's that new out on the yard.

I would hope they are bigger than 10". The 10" rotors were phased out in 1986 and Fox body cars went to an 11".
On a side note I think you can d0 13" Cobra's very cheap look around and you can buy the parts very reasonable I did mine for $300 about 10 years ago when most of that stuff was new.

I was thinking that as well. I agree with Craig. If you are going to go to the trouble, do a 13" upgrade. You won't believe the difference it makes!

I stand corrected, they are 11's.It stops good now with the 4 wheel disc setup I have, but with more go,you need more whoa! I'll probably wait and do 13"s,since I like the Bullitt front calipers.
