I'm about 99.9% sure that there was never any 87-93 convertibles with rear defroster.

Well I am looking at a 1993 brochure.
There is one item which it is stated that is not available on the convertible, and that is dual illuminated mirrors.
Under the rear defroster option line, there is no notes of any sort.

Then on also on the equipment page there is a notes for convertible content, all that it says is the "Power retractable top with glass rear window"

I will try to take a digi pic of it and post.

The first pic shows that the Dual illuminated mirrors with a (2) and nothing next to the Rear window defroster

The second photo shows that (2)Not available on convertible

The third photo shows that the glass rear window statment

edit - I could be wrong still, however based off of this it sounds like it was possible to order one

If you could get it, where would the switch be. Would Ford go as far to tool up a different harness for it
