Well I bought another car!
Well I went to buy a transmission from my dads friend and ended up coming home with the whole car and almost cost me a divorce!
Transmission is a 2 speed powerglide with good internals aftermarket jw case and bell, transbrake valve body and 1.76 first gear. The car is a full tubular chassis with a aftermarket narrowed ford 9" and 4 link rear suspension car weigh's 2600 lbs. when it has a motor in it. It is a 1962 studebaker lark, it has everything except a motor and ignition system. He even gave me a moroso aluminum radiator with an electric fan, soft touch stutter box, front motor plate, and electric water pump. Got the whole car for $1500. Still trying to decide on if I should finish the mustang before I start on this, and what kind of engine setup I would want to run in it. Here are a few pics. Still on the trailer After a little cleaning and a little rearend |

Well I don't know about the ls but it will definitly be a sbc since that is what the car is already set up for. I was thinking just to start with take a stock 350 4 bolt main which I have a few laying around at the shop and bore and stroke it to a 383 but couldn't decide if I would want high compression n/a or high compression with nitrous. I want it to run at least low 6's or high 5's in the 1/8th.

I know that car well ...........I've seen it make many, many trips down the track at Lassiter..........
Bob used to run the car, park it(never raising the hood) and then line up for the next round.. Car was dependable and FAST...........

Yea Bob has been a close friend of the family for as long as I can remember. I remember walking around lassiter mountain at 3 and 4 years old with bob and my dad. I've been around the car long enough to watch it change colors 3 times and my dad even drove it a couple of times down the track. So when he offered me the deal on the car I didn't think twice about giving him what he asked for it. Bob is an awesome guy!
