Re: Now a TURBO 306...
Ran the car @ Bama dragway...no times or speeds that night?! why bother?
Anyway; he raced a jugged-LS1 6-speed that's supposedly gone 6.60-6.80's. He lost the holeshot and had to make-up 2-cars after blowing the tires off (mickey DR's). Lost by a car or so he said. Also beat a 7.0-7.20's Camaro by about 3-4 cars...so I'm thinking it has a 6.8 in it.

Re: Now a TURBO 306...
The turbo 306 went to the track last night...
After eating 2 thrust bearings out of the motor; he finally got the trans/converter/driveshaft issue worked out (somehow everything was pushing into the flexplate/crank really bad). Car off the foot brake went 6.90's easily. Off the transbrake, car went 6.68 @ 102.xx with a 1.52 short-time. All out of a stock-bottom end and stock computer with 55# and a 42# MAF meter! He did switch cams tho: it's a Bennet Speed Density cam. Stock lift with a little more duration. Must be about right. Drove car home too.

Re: Now a TURBO 306...
It's a 3.55 with an AOD. Should go 10.7-10.8 pretty easily.
Brian Bradford was there last night too. Did not run any faster than before. Somethin's up with that car.
