91 GT not startin

my brother has a 91 GT when he got the car it ran fine until the tranny went out but the car still started , a friend need to borrow the battery (damnit greg ) and when we put the batt. back in .......nuthin the car would not turn over we even tryed to jump it off the batt. is good . i put a starter to sylonid sp? now the car wants to start its self and the keys are sitll in my pocket when it does this ( satan car!) anyone want to take a crack at whats wrong
