Newbie in L.A.
Hey guys, I'm new to your forum, but not new to Mustangs. My first car was an 86GT that I still own. I got it in '88 and it's been my baby. I have known "Stangman" for about a year now and I'm thinking of moving to Alabama with my wife. I'm really impressed with this site - Ya'll know your stuff! Anyway, tired of the b.s. in L.A. and am looking for a better living.

Alot different here than LA. But, there's alot of cool racing history around So Cal... weigh your options. Cost of living here is probably 1/4 of LA. (ps...I saw a Red '85 GT the other day; real clean T-top car. I stopped and talked to the guy for a few minutes...he lives here in Hoover and has had the car since 1988 too... it now has 23k miles. MINT. )

Thanks for the welcome! I was actually looking at Oxford, but will know more after some feedback. My wife and I will be out to b'ham in mid July. We'll spend a week looking around to see what it's like. My 86 is on it's way to being restored, but time and $$ aint always there!

I have always loved 4eyed foxes, esp. the 86! Last year of 4eyes, first of fuel injection. I have done a lot of work to her. I will be doing a cam/head swap soon. Then, all I need is interior work and paint. I hand polish every part I can. When I get a chance I'll post some pics. Thanks again!!!!

Welcome to the board.
Let us know when you and the wife will be out here, maybe we could all get together so you can see how retarded Alabamians really are.

Military, I'm actually in Bessemer...about a mile from the Hoover boundary. (It's cheaper here)
ps: Here's my '86 fox, so you know you'll be in good company:
