Just run a compression & leakdown test on all of the cylinders. That will tell you the state of the rings/bores.............or pistons.

Well if he doesn't have the PCV system set up right it will do that, The stock PCV system is barely adequate for a stock N/A motor. Run a catch can with a breather assembly mounted on it, Plumb a line from both valve covers to the catch can. It has to have a breather on it somewhere or it will either over pressure the crankcase or suck oil into the blower if he has his plumbing according to Vortechs installation instructions. The rings may be in fact part of his problem but it may not be all of it.

Yep, Use a turbo T-bird or Grand National PCV valve, I like tht GN because it can be used inline.

he just traded for the car a few days ago. said he would swap it for a stock 89-93 5.0 mustang
