hyd roller vs solid flat tappet

i have a Crower 242/250 dur .538/.557 lift on a 112 ls cam solid flat tappet. and have came into a little cash and was wondering if a hyd roller would be better than a solid flat tappet? i have been looking at the tfs stage 2 roller just want to know if money should be spent else where. thx

As far as performance goes, I think that the mechanical cam is going to be better than the hyd roller and you should spend that money elsewhere. Maintenance wise the hyd roller is a no brainer and the solid shaft has the periodic lash adjustment which doesn't bother me but some people absolutely hate.
