looking at a 99 GT few questions and need car fax

we are looking at a 99 GT for my brother and i had a few questions

1. how much should the transmission whine? this one whines a fair amount in 1st and it sort of worries me

also does anyone have a current car fax subscription? I was going to run it but our subscription has worn out

My 02 GT doesn't whine at all, now the one that was in my old '90 F150 was another story!

our 03 whined a little when it was brand new so i assumed some whine is acceptable

it is not over the top, but mine was a 5 speed so it did not whine at all

it is only in first gear and is hardly noticeable but autos worry me
