if you want to get a shop to do the j-mod for you labor will generally run about $100 and parts for mine were less than $20

From what I hear, one of the best things you can do is the PI conversion. RTGreen did that to his 96 GT.

the pi swap is one of the best things you can do for your 96. after i did it to my 97 it felt so much better then before. also do any headers at that point also, make sit much easier.
