Dude, we're not trying to knock your numbers. We're trying to give you a clue that what you think you have is not really what you're putting down.

I'd hate to see you drop $2000 on an H/C/I and see that you only gained 20rwhp from it.

I could see that.

If everything is correct you are putting down more than AODE cars with H/C/I swaps

Talking

Thanks guys. I was only going by what the Dyno sheet said. I do know that I can stomp the shit out of a 2005-2007 GT without mods with no juice. The juice is just for fun.

I'm not trying to be offensive. I've heard of shops with Mustang dynos either having it calibrated wrong or having a "happy customer" button where they'll change the calibration after a mod to make the numbers higher.

In this day and age (and location) the good 'ol dynojet is pretty much the standard.

But the numbers on the auto did sound a bit optimistic. Maybe the car has just the right converter, gears, and some transmission work.

Only thing that could fudge the numbers like that would be the converter. That is very possible if the car in question has a higher than stock stall on it.

Gears and other tranny work will not affect the dyno #'s

Now I didn't mention anything about the drivetrain on this car. I just stated motor mods. The car does have an Art-Carr built transmission with a FRPP 2200-2800 Stall and 3.73 gears with posi spool. Rear upper and lower control arms. The dyno run was done with the converter locked. Could the converter being locked have caused the high numbers? There is several other mods to the car but no HCI Combo. Opened valve covers to install 1.7 roller rockers and a 1/2 intake spacer for heat.

I have been on 3 dyno's, The Z1 motorsports gave more HP at a lower boost than the last dyno day I went to with SS.
Lee, with a lower rear gear, will that show more torque?

I've always heard a lower gear will show less torque and horsepower due to the additional loss of energy that comes from a higher mechanical advantage.
