Distributor swap is a piece of cake...even without a timing gun, you can get it real close. Another thing I was thinking was with the low-low freezing temperatures we've had, there might be moisture or water frozen on something causing it to either remain open or shut...then with engine temp, it remedies itself.

i was originally hoping that was what had happened. not looking as tho that was the case tho. top end is getting changed this spring and was hoping to not raise hood till then.
