Red alto bands and HD clutch pack
You are selling yourself short with the B&M converter and trans-pak.

Get an Art Carr automatic valvebody and the PI stallion.

yes we have several videos of it I'll see if I can't get them from Preston and post some up. I swear the car wanted to hang the fronts in the air.

Well, if it's true, then you need to trademark the combo and sell it. That would be truly an amazing feat of physics.

Well, it sounds like you have the suspension where it needs to be; now you just need the right parts to get the power on the launch. I'm guessing you need a higher stall. If you're hooking that good, you're going to need a lot of RPM to get an N/A 302 out of the hole.

How were you launching the car when it was a 5-speed?

Oh yeah, I forgot. When you originally were comparing to our estimate of Cheo's car's capabilites, I was thinking 302.

I would think a decent 347 behind any working AOD would easily get in the 12's.

Kinda what I was thinking thats the reason for the post. Thought that someone would point out something I was simply overlooking.

You need a little more converter and a Valvebody as well as a 1 piece input shaft.

put all that in along with a 4.10 or 4.30 gear and it should perform better

That must be a record in a mustang!
I used to cut 1.7-1.8's on 17" nittos when my car had a mostly stock motor
