Re: anyone here build their engine from a stroker shortblock?

I just bought a '93 LX back in June after selling my '97 cobra (13,800 miles). I took the proceeds from that sale to fund my new project. I converted the stock (and I mean stock. didn't know they still existed) to a 347 stroker with forged internal, Trick flow Track heat heads, trick flow upper and lower, all ported, stage 2 cam with valve upgrades. I had the work done and it ran me about $8000 for parts and labor. My bill was higher than that so I am guessing on the price, but I had some other stuff done like line lock install, rear adjustable shocks, upper and lower control arms, etc...

Re: anyone here build their engine from a stroker shortblock?

No, I am pretty sure that is correct, because my wife was thinking of killing me due to the cost after looking at this, plus the car, plus the exhaust, tires, wheels, clutch, etc. You should be good with $9000. Make sure you get a good tune. My car ran like crap until I got my car dyno tuned. Now it runs pretty solid all the way through the rpm range. It was bored pretty good so I lose a little down low, but after 3000 rpm she really wakes up.
