Strut tower brace question.

I am putting on a new upper and lower intake. It says that the stock strut tower brace will not work with this. Probably a clearance issue. can a stock strut tower brace be modified (cut, welded, etc.) to work or will i have to buy a new after market strut tower brace. Professional products suggest a aftermarket ford racing one. What do you think?

Just save the head ache and get a new one that is designed to clear aftermarket intakes.

+1

Go with a proven manufacturer. Instead of modifying your factory one.

I just bought a FRPP one last spring from a Ford dealer that was supposed to clear the cobra intake, and advertised to clear aftermarket as well.

It was from a delaer just south of Atlanata (can't remember the name at the moment), and I paid around $110 for it shipped.
