Another thing I found interesting about the TFS setup .. it recommends 32-36 degrees of total timing for best power results.

32* total would be a 16* base timing.

I used to run 42* total timing all the time.

The only reason I don't run it much anymore is because I'm afraid I would forget to switch the tune over before using the nitrous. . .


42* + N2O =

I burned up several plugs by forgetting to swap to the n2o tune

Well, different motors act different ways to timing. I have seen 302s that didn't even like 14* base timing; mine doesn't seem to care (imagine that ).

On a side note, you really couldn't run 42* total without some type of tuning software. If you tried to do that using your distributor, you would end up with a base timing of 26* and that would likely wreak havoc on everything else but WOT.
