Excessive belt dust?
Does this look like too much belt dust for 6,000 miles to any of you other '03 guys with Billetflow pullies? 2.76" BF pulley, 100 mm aux. idler, Gates belt. I know it should make more dust than stock, but this seems a little bit excessive to me.

I got the same blower pulley & the 4 piece idler set on a kb 2.2 & it does the same thing. I'm also running a Gates belt & it had me a little worried. Maybe someone with a little more knowledge with these cars can chime in on this, i would also like to know if this is normal.

Looks normal to me. The gates belts are pretty thick and I believe having the extra tension added with the non slip pulley makes the extra dust. If it was slipping more than usual would be tons of dust. When I had my 96 it would cake up belt dust with just one wot run when it was slipping. I'm going to try running a dayco polycog on my new setup to see how it works

You're fine. Mine does the exact same thing, and has done so from day 1 since the pulley swap.

That looks good to me. I wish my reichard pulley would stop chewing through belts...
