Mileage with blower?

Ok, so I'm debating whether or not to get another 99-04 GT. If I do, within a month I plan on putting a Vortech or Procharger on it. I went the bolt-on route last time and just wasnt happy. Not enough power for the money spent IMO. I don't want to play around this time. If I were to do this, I would add parts after and such etc etc.

My main question is if I do this, how many miles would my motor last? I'd probably shoot for the 360rwhp mark with just the blower and increase hp later on with full exhaust and some other stuff. It would be a conservative tune basically.

Eventually, I'd like to get a forged rotating assembly, but I know that would be at least a year to two later. How big of a chance would I be taking? I've currently put around 3500 miles on my car in 6 months so I dont drive too much.

You could tune it to around 400-420 and not hurt the longevity of the motor at all

Well I was thinking 8-10 psi tops. I think that would put me around the 360rwhp mark and then a full exhaust would get me close to 400. So could I technically see 50-100k miles out of it? I usually dont keep my cars that long, but just curious.

Also, since you are local, got any tuner suggestions? I was thinking I'd take it all the way to MPH in Marietta, GA, but if you know of someone closer with a dyno and knows how to tune these cars, I'd gladly go to them.

Also, Doug (BamaChips) would be the guy to talk to about a tune. He's on this board amongst several others.

If thats the only two blowers you want, I would go with the vortech. 400rwhp is what alot of tuners stop at on the stock blocks and they go along ways. I use tim at modularpowerhouse for my tuning but hear doug does a great job as well and is close

A Vortech with a nice conservative tune by Doug should give you plenty of miles of fun while still being plenty driveable IMO.

A guy at MPH just put up this shot of his 5yr/ 45k mi blower.
http://www.modularpowerhouse.com/for...ad.php?t=38543

Me myself, would like to see my blower and 331 reach 100k which would break the 500k mark on mine. That guy has a bent blade and others look like ther scraped something on his not sure if something went by it or by-pass valve didn't re-lease, bearing going out and the impellar shifted?

Why not just buy my car and save yourself the trouble? 500rwhp is better than 360 any day.
