For what you have, the 165cc heads are more than enough...and they're a great "small-port" head; probably the best. Your chances of finding them for a really good deal are higher than for the 185's too, becasue they seem to be more popular.

What about the dss short skirt pistons with the 185 head would that work? And have no issues with the clearance?

clearance is about the valve size, life and duration, more the duration than lift, but its all in how much valve relief the piston has, how big the valve is and how long/far the valve opens

If its a DSS Piston it should be cleared for a 2.02 valve and be fine

185s should work with a B cam and will give you room to grow. Any aftermarket head will be better than the stock head, so you can't go wrong either way.

Keep in mind, AFR is not the only good cylinder head out there...
BAD INT's heads might be a good option for you... I also know of a really clean pair of Twisted Wedges including rockers for a sweet deal.
