Trick Flow Engine Kit For 5.0

What do you guys think of the top end kit from trick flow? A friend of ours just got a job there and she gets everything at cost up to $5000 of merchandise a year. I can get the kit for $1700. Was going to go with afr, performer, cust cam, but hell I don't think I can pass this up for the money I'll save. I think this should put a solid 300rwhp to the ground. And with the saved money I think I might look into a s/c later down the road.

I would recomend it even without the discount you are getting. With the discount, it a no-brainer.

I would definitely consider it for myself if I was to get an H/C/I all at once.

+2 that is an excellent combo to go with, plus they love forced induction too so you wont have to change anything except maybe the cam down the road if you go forced induction.

+3!! The thing about these H/C/I packages is they're in a package for a reason. They've all been made to specifically work together to produce the best possible results.

I definately suggest it.

If all things were equal, then it would just be up to who you'd want to get your money.

Either kit is nice. I have the holley heads with a trick flow cam. Works great. Holley kit comes with a #51014 cam (.500/.510 ) TFS comes with the .499/.510 cam...It's a toss-up IMO. Go for the TFS at that price!!!

Re: Trick Flow Engine Kit For 5.0

sounds like a great deal to me, and with the money you saved you could afford a 5 or 6 PSI paxton novi 1000 kit (5 psi kit $1700) to put you even closer to that 400rw mark....with a good tune you may could even make it if the trickflow kit gives you 300rw

the reason i say the low boosted paxton kit is because if you are running a stock block it will have a low chance of snding rod trhough your oil pan....

It will take over twice that boost level to throw a rod off of a stock 302. With a good tune, you can easily push 14psi into it without any worry.
