I am willingto bet the crossmember is in wrong, there is an "R" stamped in to the passenger side of the 94 up stangs. And there are not any spot welds to cut for front to back adjustment. You would have to cut the mount from the underbody and move them forward or backward for that adjustment on the 94 up cars.

ok guys i installed poly mounts yesterday 139.99 ouch and cut 2 knotches in trans cross member to move tranny toward the driver side about an inch and 1/4. it looks about center now.

but the down side is that it still has a vibration in drivetrain. when i had driveshaft checked and balanced the guy said it was out about 8 thou out and 12 thou was the limit. i have an aluminium ds ordered i hope that fixes the problem.

try to index the driveshaft.

mark its current location(where its bolted to the rearend)and remove the bolts and rotate the driveshaft one set of holes until it will bolt up again.reinstall the bolts and test drive it.

If it is still there try it again until you have tried it in all locations.

Ive done this on several cars and it will reduce vibration although it tends to take a little bit to do so

Yep,unless you REALLY want some vibration above 55-60 mph! I've seen/had some cars that it made no difference, and others that it made a HUGE difference!

Good luck with the vibration issue, when I had my TKO 600 Ihad a vibe that started at aroiund 65mph. I pulled the trans to replaced the clutch and the pilot bearing was toast. Never did get the car running after that to verify that was the cause of the vibration but if the indexing fails and the new Al. ds does not cure the problem, you may want to check that area out.
