pro 50 shifter help

my shifter came in today and after removing the old one and setting pro in place it seems that my trans isn't setting in the right spot (imo). it sets really low and sets so far toward the passanger side that the shifters holes want line up from hitting the trans tunnel. so after mild tapping on tunnel i got the holes to line up. now the lower boot that you have to cut to fit around the gold sleeve will not go in place.

my question is.. the tranny is a tremec 3550 is there a special trans mount or is there something i need to do to fix this. i have a bad vibration when speedometer reaches 80 no clue on real spead. someone from this site said to get the driveshaft spacer from upr and that helped some but it still have vibration. if there is a special mount than maybe it will fix both of my problems.

any help will be appreciated.

um first you dont wanna cut the lower boot. second are you sure you have right mount cause you need a different one than the t5 at least i did. third you might need a new imput shaft bearing. is it make a loud grouling in nutural with your foot off the clutch and goes away when you let off? if so you need a imput shaft bearing. it would be hard to diagnose with out someone being there. i mean it could be as simple as a wheel out of balance. or bushings but without being there it will be hard to say.

The mount from a t5 works on the tremec too.

The problem is when you put the tremec in an sn95 car it moves the shifter forward in the hole.

Have you tried indexing the driveshaft yet?

Sometimes it will help with vibration issues.

make sure your motor mounts havent allowed the motor to shift in the k member.

Check the trans mount and crossmember too to make sure it is installed correctly

I have the same shifter in my car and i have plenty of clearance.
