lightning help, again
I had my truck at a shop and they tuned it and was suppose to find out why it was losing fuel pressure. Well they never did so I went saturday and picked it up and got it back and dropped the fuel tank and one of the hoses had came off the top of one of the fuel pumps so I got that problem fixed. Now the thing will NOT idle without having to give it gas. While it was there some guy took a bunch of stuff off the left side of the engine by the blower, egr stuff i think, he said i didn't need it. Is there anyone around this area, that could possibly look at it and help me get it idling right. I don't know if it is in the tune or what.

If they tune with a fuel issue and now the fuel problem is fixed I'd say its in the tune.
Do you know fp before and after the fix???? You could try lowering fp to what it was before the fix but I would have it retune now that its fixed.

Was the tune done properly? (Maf curve changes) or was it tuned via fuel press adjustments

Honestly, I have no idea how they did it. The truck smokes like a diesel when you get it on, I guess since it was losing fuel pressure they just loaded it up on fuel and now that the fuel pressure problem is fixed it is dumping too much fuel. I don't know if that would affect the idle though?

The Lightnings sometimes have problems with the injectors. IIRC the pintle in the injector hangs open or stays open too long and floods it out. I have heard of some people deleting the EGR and compensating for it in the tune.

I have been around Lightnings since 02 and have never heard that. Sounds like a good place to start
