What does this part do?

I got codes out of my 91 Mustang 5.0.. i got a code 10- theres nothing in the book for 10, codes start at 11? then i got a 85-o Canister purge circuit failure, does that mean the part is bad? or its a wiring prob?

Was this a KOEO or a KOER??? I know on the scanners I have use this is for a KOER where you are to snap the throttle to complete the Diagnosic. I won't worry with the code 85 not going to effect the driveability.

KOER is most likely if you are looking at run-time datalogs.
