I vote for a KB setup, personally. Yeah it costs more, but the instant boost of a roots or twin screw blower is crazy. I hope in the relatively near future a KB 2.4 will be replacing the Eaton on my car.

Not knocking KB by any means but the same effect could be had with a turbo set for a good bit cheaper (probably almost half of what a KB cost ($7k)

Of course it doesn't matter, he never mentioned anything about KB reviews

I had thought about a KB, in fact there is one in Tuscaloosa that is pretty cheap(KB 1.7). The reason I did not want to pursue the KB was the large amount of HP and Torque down low. This would be going on my daily driver, so I would not be running DR's or too many traction aids. With this in mind, I figured that there would just be too many traction issues on the street with 380-400hp/440trq at 2000rpms.

This will be a determining factor on which blower you pick. Are you going to stick with 10 psi setup (400rwhp) from this point forward. Or do you anticipate to "turn up the wick" 5 years from now.

"Happy with 400rwhp from now on"= Vortech or Procharger

Hell no! I am going to turn it up to 500-600rwhp down the road = Novi 2000

Hopefully Rob will chime in at some point since he has had the Vortech and Paxton on his car.

On the MAF setups, for whatever reason Doug says that draw through is easier to tune (Tim at MPH also claims this). I ran a blow thru on my car because I felt it was more accurate readings. This is just my opinion though. I have no proof.

When using an intercooler, you can use whichever setup you prefer. (draw thru or blow thru)
The goal is 380-440 HP, street driven! I would like to keep the sleeper look that the car has now. I know HP is addictive, and people always want more power at some point, but I'll have to look into maybe a 03-04 Cobra in 2-3 years for that.

You know what Todd, consider a turbo kit. You could throw a single t-60 system on the car and be very happy. Probably would be in the same price range and be easier on the engine

I didn't have that many issues when my car was around 400 rwhp. I drove it daily for a few months rain or shine.

Todd, that is what I like about my set up. You can drive around easy keeping under 3000 rpm and it is like the car is stock. Even in the rain there are no traction issues if you don't stab the throttle hard. With a centrifuge SC there is very little HP used to turn the blower (unlike a roots blower) so you can enjoy good gas mileage (22 city/26+ highway for me). Then when its time for action, you can get in it and have some fun, just make sure it is pointed straight before you go WOT over 2500 rpm, especially in 1st gear!

+1!!

Although....I doubt it will be in the same price range. Unless comparing to KB's. Since most all turbo kits for '96-up include front suspension pieces. They're usually $6000 plus.
