24's or 30's?

I want to get a little more input on if I need 30's or not. Right now I have 24's, but as I get closer to completion, I think I might need 30's. Heres what I have: 306 with roughly 10.1 to 1. Twisted wedge heads, custom grind .553 int .525 exh (I forget exact duration @.050 and I don't have the sheet in front of me but I think it was 224 int and 228 exh) GT-40 intake with lower port matched to my heads, 1.6 rockers, CAI, 70mm TB, soon to be Pmas MAF, 255lph pump, Adj fuel reg, and I do have a plate kit I'll be spraying roughly a 150 shot, but its a wet kit.

Just want to see what you guys think before I get the MAF.

If I had it to do again, I would do 24's with my setup.....

actually I wouldn't since the 30's were free

+1

30's are overkill on any N/A 306 and they kill your idle quality.

24's are plenty for a 306.

Matt your just lucky or your tuner is the shit. The 331 had serious problems hunting for an idle.

now that you mention it, it did idle a little better after I replaced the distributor and reset the base timing. still running that wideband tune cause i'm broke.

Typically, it will run a bit rich because the pulse widths can't go small enough with these low impedance injectors. It may be idling smoothly, but it likely is running richer than it should.

That I will agree with. I will likely buy some 24's and a tunable MAF when I get a tweecer.

In that case, I'll keep the 24's for sure. They've been sitting dry for over a year now and I got them used to begin with, any reccommendations of a good place to send them for a rebuild?
