fusible link repair question
can I use the fusible link from a donor car for the charging circuit? mine fried the alternator was pumping 14.75 volts made a temp. repair swapped alternators now its charging fine but need to fix the link

yes, make sure it is the same size!

+1,or you can put an inline fuse in it with the same amperage rating.

ok the wire was green anybody know what amperage that is...or does it go by gauge

thanks dale ...greatly appreciatted the links really helped someone also said I could just wire in a fuse ,,,if I was to do this what size fuse would be recomended
