Re: .648 lift on a stock bottom end
If yo notch the stock pistons you can do that. No way to do it otherwise. I've been down that road more than a dozen times. No amount of advance or retard will get the valve off the slug with that much lift (and duration that would go along with that kind of lift).

Re: .648 lift on a stock bottom end
Well I agree that .648 aint gonna happen on the intake side with a stock piston unless you have real lazy ramps or retard the cam timming alot, This is gonna equal big no on second thought huge turd! Most of the Twisted Wedge V/P interference occurs due to steep ramps and duration above 226* at .050, Also you see very few hydraulic rollers over .600 lift. Most are solid flat tappet and solid roller cams The ramp rates on both of these cams would not allow for the use of a .648 lift with a stock piston, My old 95GT with a set of TFS TW heads and a Comp Cams XE270HR14 218/226 .514/.514 114 only had .070 on the intake but well over .200 on the exhaust(V/P clearance).
This story is kinda similar to those we all have heard about 9 and 10 second daily driven street cars that when we finally see them run cant click off a 13. "Never beleive any of what you hear and only half of what you see" |

Re: .648 lift on a stock bottom end
personally i'm one of those see it believe it types but still find the thought interesting. one thing when i seen this guys post was he is running a 12.07 1/4 and has 331rwhp with no power adder. i also dont see why anyone would want that much lift on a daily driver anyway.
