Axle back!
I just installed a set of Magnaflow axle backs on the G8. I was wondering why axle back mufflers create so much drone inside the vehicle? My Magnaflow cat back never had this problem on the terminator. Any thoughts?

Alot of magnaflow kits make some resonance inside the cab because of the tone it makes.

Possibly because the mufflers on a 03-04 cobra sit underneath the suspension instead of right againist the floor pans

It has one resinator and a muffler for each side. I am not really getting the sound I hoped for. It sounds more like a BMW now with the Magnaflow axle back. If you are in the car, it does not bother you untill you hit 70mph. It gets worse when cylinder managment kicks in.
It acts just like you have dumps. Could not having a long tail pipe be the cause of drone. |
