tire question

will a 275/40 fit on an 8" wheel? I think thats what the 98 Cobras are right?

You can probably squeeze them on there, but they will bow out conciderably. You're handling will go to crap if you do it.

Didn't Lee have 275 555R's on a 7.5" wheel?

That said, I would avoid squeezing too much tire on the wheel. My car felt like shit with 315 555R's on 9" wheels. Now with 295's on 10" wheels it's drives and handles much better.

yep. I ran a 275 drag radial many times on my cobra wheels.

I had 275 nt555 drag radials on some 17x8 inch 98 gt wheels on my orange coupe...i like how it looks when the tire flares out on a smaller rim...looks...chunky!
