Re: Few things done to the 93 today..

What are you guys' opinions on that girdle. I've often wondered if it's really necessary with good studs, rockers, and quality heads. Seems more of a gimick, but heck, the serious motors seeing 1000+ hp and 8-9k+ RPM have to have them. But on a street motor under 6500 RPM? Just curious.

I believe some of Lee's initial valvetrain problems (with the blower) were attributed to valvetrain flex. I think a girdle would take care of that issue.

Knowing the power he's gonna be making, I sure would...

RPM + mega boost + stock block (mexican, even) = split block, IMHO.
