3k rpms at 85 mph isnt really that bad.if you did a 3.73 it would only be slightly lower.i would do the 3.90 though.i have done many 3.73's in 2v gt's and alot of those got changed in favor of 4.10's later on.fact is that if you dont really plan on making a blower car or a turbo car out of it then make it fun to drive n/a.either the 4.10 or the 3.90 will make that car a ton more fun to drive.

My girl friends Cobra clone has 4.10 gears, (2000 model) I like the way the car accelerates, 9.30 in the 1/8, strait off the highway heat soaked after a 100 mile cruise. ( with traction control on). But the gas mileage does suffer somewhat, Yesterday we went above Birmingham, rode from there to cullman, then to tupelo, car got 25 mpg. around town with her driving it gets around 16-18 depends on the weather, all in all i think for a two valve motor they are worth the trade off. P.S. it is a 5 speed car

i have a nos kit to go on it to.But only plan on spraying 75 shot.

in a 5 speed car
with 3.55s at 70mph you will turn 2000rpms
with 4.10s at 70mph you will turn 2400rpms
with 4.30s at 70mph you will turn 2800rpms (aproximatly)
I think 3.55s would be a waste and you would not feel any difference.
I loved my 4.10s
