Tightening up Transmission?

You got me Spence. I hate Throttle-Valves.

The idea behind the TV cable is to have soft shifts at low speed/throttle and firm shifts at more throttle. My friend has a TH400 that shifts automatically without a TV cable. It has valve-body with a set line pressure inside, so all shifts are very firm.
