357W Build

I am starting to stack parts for my 357w build. I'm still not 100% sure what I'm going to put it in, but here goes. I'm starting with a 74 block, stock crank, Ross forged rods and TRW (SRP) forged and dished pistons (Part# L2378F-30) that I bought all for $400. I think I have found a pretty good deal on some AFR 205's but I'm trying to figure out whether to go with a 58cc or 72cc combustion chamber. I'll post the pic of the piston specs below. I'm thinking based on the specs, I'll need to use the 58cc's in order to get up around 9:1 compression ratio. Opinions are welcomed and encouraged.

58cc head assuming a non decked block will be closer to 9.5 compression with a .041 gasket. really depends on block tho could be little less.if block is not decked you could have to take up to .041 0ff the deck with those pistons. My 84 block with 69 70 year style pistons had to deck .040 to get .001 deck.
If 0 deck block it be closer to 9.8.
What is your intended use drag, street cruiser, etc?
Any power adders n20,boost,or NA?
Pump gas or e85,etc?

it's gonna be a street car, I really don't have the time to go to the track ever anymore... I'm looking at a couple of options right now on power adders. If I go with the Kenne Bell I'm looking at, it'll probably go in one of the foxbody Tbirds I have, if I go with the Powerdyne that I've found, it'll go in the 94, or if I play my financial cards right, I may go with an on3Performance turbo setup, but it will be boosted on pump gas and possibly meth injection. I also wouldn't be opposed to putting it into a 92-96 F150/Gen 1 Lightning.

Boost is very good if done correctly.
Very bad if skimped on qaulity parts that are required.I will def be following the build.

I plan on doing it as right as I can, I definitely hate when things are skimped on so I. I literally have not had a chance to look the motor over since dude dropped it off, so if I get to looking at it and it hasn't been balanced, I will more than likely be pulling out the stock crank for a forged piece. I know it's not necessary, but I don't want to regret anything.

If you want some free hp and a quicker revving engine have crank mainjournals turned down to 2.749 cleveland size and use spacer kit and have it aligned honed.

I'll save that for when I finally man up and do a Dart 427W build... I'm doing this one right but still trying to be budget minded since its still just a factory block.

ok, so the deal I was quoted on a set of AFR 205 Complete 58cc (Part#1450) was $1745.00... good enough deal to go head and order or wait and go with something else?
