intake runner length
i didn't know that a certain engine setup requires its on intake runner length! this thread talks about it. anybody else heard of this?

I know intake runner lengths are specific to what your rpm range goal is

Yep,shorter runners are better for higher RPM's,where longer runners are better for low end torque.

There are pressure pulsations in an intake manifold for obvious reasons. The amplitude and frequency of the pulsations depends on the intake manifold. As Lee said, one can tune the pulsation to increase VE at given conditions. One has to tune for steady state, alter valve timing or use a variable geometry intake manifold to achieve maxima VE in this method.

Yeah,Hogan makes some sick looking intakes. There's another company that does too,but I can't remember the name.
