Question About Stock EEC-IV HEGO Sensors / DY-605 vs. DY-606
I recently found out that there are two different O2 sensors specified by Ford for the 87-93 model year Mustangs. It appears that the DY-605 was used during 87-90 and the DY-606 was used from 90-93.
Does anyone know what the difference in the sensors are? Here's a link to 50resto's site showing the different sensors specified for each year: Mustang HEGO Sensors Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Did Speed Density Mustangs have O2's?

I'm looking around, but maybe its 3 and 4 wire sensors. Both have heaters but the 4 wire has also has the auxiliary ground for the heater circuit, as opposed to being grounded only through the exhaust or uses the common ground as the signal.

My 86 has 3wire and it was speed density originally. It now is Mass Air and uses the same O2's. They are the E6 part number.

This site explains some of the differences. The main difference is the connector. I have the one in fig. 5
