As far as CHP goes, Mark O'neal is as honest and straightforward as they come. Their stuff is top notch and I haven't heard of anyone having issues with balancing.

Good to hear, I've heard the same about them but you never know. A buddy of mine got a kit from them and was pretty impressed with it as well. Thanks!

I never said that they were bad guy's or had a bad product. Mark, Eric and all of them are great but I have heard and read a few times where someone has gotten a couple of rods a few thousandths out of round, or a bent crank from chp, probe, and dss. I have heard lots of great things about them and their products but it is always good to double check. If you want something done right do it yourself, and check your tolerances yourself with plasti gauge as they are not responsible for it if you don't.

I just mentioned DSS because I have heard and read horror stories about all of them but I have also heard great things about all of them as you will about any big name company espesially when it has to do with high performance cars. You should be good with the chp parts but it never hurts to double check before you assemble.

Yea Mark is great. I bought a new probe industries bottom end girdle from a guy that sold the motor before he got to use it. The girdle was ordered for a 351w but came with a 302 stud kit that I can't use so I talked to Mark and he cut me a deal on the 351w stud kit even after I told him that I didn't buy it directly from probe myself.
