Smile Thought I'd introduce myself...

Hey everyone, I've been a long time lurker at this forum and finally decided to introduce myself!

First of all, I'd like to let everyone know that, although this is my first post, I already feel VERY welcome. I've done my share of reading here and the information, help, and encouragement this forum seems to give everyone is just incredible. No matter what the question, everyone jumps into the deep end and helps out!

Secondly, a little(or alot) about myself...My name is Jon and I'm from Abbotsford BC, Canada. I'm 23 years old and i'm currently finishing up my 3rd year as an automotive apprentice. I play lead guitar and vocals in a rock band(Herostratus) and have been a fan of mustangs(specifically '87-'93 fox bodies) for as long as I can remember.
In July of '01 I purchased my first car, an '89 5.0L LX hatchback with nothing other than aftermarket ARE rims, a lowering kit, and full flowmaster exhaust. In April of '05, with plenty of time on my hands, I pulled and did a complete tare-down of the engine and sent the block to the machine shop. The block to this day is STILL AT THE MACHINE SHOP since I was lacking the funds to do anything worthwhile with it.
About 3 weeks ago, I sold the shell of my '89 for a decent coin and finally started making plans for the long forgotten 302. I went to the machine shop last week and after a long discussion with the owner, I decided on a 347 stroker kit from Eagle. The next few weeks will be spent scrambling my brain trying to decide on a cam/head/intake combo for the 347. I was hoping some of you might be able to share some of your knowledge for this build, but that's for a seperate thread!

So that's my story, I might as well have written a novel! Again, keep up the good work everyone! I look forward to future discussions with you all!

Re: Thought I'd introduce myself...

Welcome to StreetStangs... glad you finally posted.

Fell free to start a thread on your 347 build. You should be able to get a fair amount of feedback here.
