Read EEC ?

Hi Everyone

I'm a newbie in training and wanted some help. I've been messing with my Tweecer RT but I have a concern. Everytime I go to Read EEC with the CalEdit I get weird readings for my A9L. I have 3 different A9L's and only one gives me readings very close to a A9L bin. But as it turns out that's the only one that doesn't work on the car it just turns my fuel pump on constantly with the keep on but the car doesn't start. On to my question does that mean if my Tweecer RT can't read my A9L right it can't tell it what to do ? Thanks in advance.

Are you SURE you have a CLEAN and SECURE connection to the J3 Port?

Or a bad solder mask that leads to the J3 port.

Re: Read EEC ?

Which position do you have the knob when trying to read. 'On the dot' or 'off the dot'

Re: Read EEC ?

I'll try and cleaning it. How clean does it really have to be I took it apart and clean it. Do I have to be able to see the copper on the J3 Port ? I thought it didn't matter in what setting I read the EEC. Also another thing every time I read it I get different readings it doesn't matter the settings. From one read to the next you can tell the bin changes some. Thanks again

Re: Read EEC ?

Yes, you need to see the copper. MAKE sure your port doesn't have the EEC plasticizer coating on it. If it does, it has to be scraped off.

Re: Read EEC ?

I'm on the end of the rope with my Tweecer. I've tried different EEC's cleaning them all and no matter what it still gives me weird readings. Maybe the Tweecer is bad ?

Re: Read EEC ?

Frank,

Take a look at this post to make sure about the J3 Port Connector on the
TwEECer.
