Spent over 8 hours on the brick this weekend

I'm pooped!

Damn thing needed quite a bit of work as it's been without a spot in the garage for the last 9 months but I did things a bit different this time.

I used the 2 bucket method of washing with a dirt removal grate at the bottom of each bucket

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...pf_rd_i=507846

I used a pair of the orange home depot buckets which work great and are WAY cheaper than the "car wash buckets"

I also used dawn dish soap as it strips away any remaining acrylic and caranuba in the paint.

Huge tip here guys: don't use dish soap unless you are about to polish and wax the car; otherwise you're stripping the protective wax off when you wash.

I use chemical guys maxi suds II normally. VERY good stuff.

So after the wash I used my trusty pinnacle clay and sonus acrylic detailing spritz which I love more than the actual sonus claybar spray (comes off easier)

and a while back I inquired about the meguiars ultra cut and ultra polish compounds. I went ahead and grabbed them and pleased to say they worked quite well. got rid of most of the swirls save for some of the pesky deeper scratches that I've seen every time I've polished the car. Otherwise, all minor and medium depth scratches, swirls and oxidation is gone.

I then hit it with a coat of the werkstat jet trigger acrylic sealant, let it cure overnight in the garage and then applied a 2nd coat the next day.

I also got a bottle of the blackfire wet diamond. I've read lots of good stuff about it so I figured I'll give it a shot. I plan to use it after each wash to help prolong the acrylic coat.

Anyways, the results of my work please me. Not bad for 15 year old paint.

Looks badass. When can I drop a Tahoe off for a good cleaning/buffing job ? It needs a great detail job.
