Wiring Help

I have an 88 coupe. My EFI harness was jacked up. I have aquired a 90 model engine harness, which should be pretty much plug and play. But Im pretty sure the Black and the Grey connectors near the brake booster, are pinned differantly. I can not for the life of me find a pin out for these connectors.

If anyone has a pin out for these connectors for an 88 and 90 model I would greatly appreciate it. I have googled for hours and hours and keep coming up empty.

It's not plug-n-play. You'd be better off getting another '88 (or '87) harness. The addition of mass-air and airbags changed a lot in the harnesses.

I think I have a 89 harness. Thats the one you need if you want mass air w/o the airbags.

Nah, its much much simpler than that. The airbags has NOTHING to do with the engine harness or the EEC. It just so happens to be taped to it! The air bags are controlled via the instrument cluster. I have a MAF engine and A9L so the only differance really is the black and the grey connector near the brake booster. I found some diagrams today and repined those connectors. Which mostly contains instrument cluster guage signal wires and a hot wire for the fuel pump and ignition coil.

Anyhow seemed like I had everything just right. Had fuel and spark, but I must have broke a wire or something because now I have lost spark.

Stangman how much for the 89 harness? I posted in your thread, seen your looking for some pony wheels. Might do some trading on those? Or I'd swap you a 90 model harness for your 89.
