haha really not that funny but....what sound does a bad throw out bearing make??
that metal to metal chatter/tapping/clicking turned out to not be the exhaust only confusing part is...goes into every gear just fine...only the noise is completely gone in 4th gear

im pretty sure it did, i havent had the car for a few days but im pretty sure it did stop when the clutch was in.....but on the other hand, it did it at idle when the car was started

I would have to hear it but most of the time a t/o bearings will squeal or whine until depressed

If it sounds like a bird on crack (chirping) it is the throw out bearing in the clutch. It goes away when the pedal is pushed and sometimes at higher speeds, 70mph or so. Welcome to the club! Mine has been doing it for about a month now. I am waiting to save the money for a whole new clutch. Labor cost the same to put a new one in as it does to replace a $20 T/B. We should cruise together some time, it might sound like a flock of birds. LOL

well not looking like the to bearing now...pulling the tranny monday to see if its the cluster or a broken tooth off the input shaft
