Re: cam/head combo ?'s

Duration is also a key factor. The TFS only has a 221º intake duration @ .050 lift...the most critical measurement since the intake valve is the biggest.
The B is 224º (?) and the E is 220º.

Get a B-303 as cheap as you can & use the 1.7's...It's a potent setup.

Edit: Ooo! I just remembered...here's a cam Crane makes FOR 1.7 RR's. It has a lift of .513/.529 with 1.7's It's a 276/282 Duration and makes killer power.

It's PN# 444225.

Re: cam/head combo ?'s

Been checking prices on what I need and have pretty much decide to just go with the trick flow kit (intake, cam, heads, rockers, and all gaskets) really can't beat it for the price since i need just about everything in the kit anyway.... So I'm going to get my little stuff i need then go for the whole kit

Re: cam/head combo ?'s

I have a TFS stage-1 cam still sitting in the box. They are incredible cams with a great idle but for max output should be put in with the addition of the TW heads TFS pushrods, roller rockers, lifters,a valvesprings. Intake is pretty much up to youu. Eddy rpmII is good, or a extrude honed cobra or gt-40 intake would be good as well. when doing all this its a good thing to also change the timing chain and water pump depending upon the mileage.

Re: cam/head combo ?'s

I've installed new timing chain about 200 miles ago and new water pump about 2000 miles ago. are you buying the kit in pieces since you said you have the tfs cam still in the box?

Re: cam/head combo ?'s

yes buying it as money permitts. Right now i have too many parts sitting "in the box" and not on the car right now cause they require more parts to be put on. If i see its gonna be too long before i can afford my heads I may just get new roller rockers and vavlesprings throw in the cam add the juice a TB and LT's get a dyno tune at delk and be done with it.
