im runn9ing all fac internal with mufflers and a filter thats it and i thought the timing was controlled by computer because someone told me i couldnt adjust timing using a light and twisting distributor

ohh and i was talking when i build my car it is strock now but im going to be running just a supercharger cam no custom grind stuff just al parts out of a catalog and probably a forged 347 stroker im planning heads cam intake and the stroker kit ohh and my car is 5 speed

Average 5.0 usually peaks rear wheel torque around 285-290 below 4000 rpm. Only reason I posted rwtq numbers is because I don't recall what the advertised rating was.
The 93-95 cobras torque peaked around 4200 rpm and was advertised at 290 tq. My car in stock trim actually put 290 torque at the tires when I bought it in 1998. In regards to the 99-up they were closer in peak torque #'s as the 5.0's but they made it higher in the rpm while the standard 5.0 made it lower |

Peak torque numbers don't mean very much. 5.0's make more torque at low rpms than mod motors, and the total area under the torque curve is much higher.
