Re: max boost on pump gas?
some people say that the support systems do not help but i put a Canton steel girdle on my motor when I built it this time last year. I preferred the actual steel girdles over the aluminum ones that the other companies make.
By the way my 306 puts out 525rwhp @ 14 psi

what octane does your car run on, and how much lift ( hard ques becuase of all the factors) do you think i could run on a cam in the 347 with afr 185cc heads

Re: max boost on pump gas?
I have it tuned to run on 93 octane.
Can't answer your cam question. I do recommend that you do a custom grind though

Re: max boost on pump gas?
yep. I would. Custom grinds offer much better power than 'off the shelf cams"
http://www.flowtechinduction.com/camshaftsqanda.htm is the company to contact

Re: max boost on pump gas?
well after collecting the info i think i'm going to stick with my original N/A application becuase of the cost to go blown.
my goal would be 400rwhp and the street fighter setup dyno'd at 400 flywheel hp and i am looking at the engine that is a little more juiced up do you guys think i can make 400rwhp with afr 185cc heads, custom grind cam, edlebrock performer 5.0 upper/lower, CAI, shorty headers, O/R X-pipe, and flowmaster cat-back. will i need to port and polish/ gasket match to get there or can i make it with just a good tune?

Re: max boost on pump gas?
I do but you may want to use a trickflow track heat intake

Re: max boost on pump gas?
funny, they always said you should stick with first instinct. i was set on the trickflow track heat but was reading afr's site and they said something about using the performer. back to the original plan.
anyway, do you think port/polish is neccesary? if i have the money i would gasket match anyway. any idea how much a gasket match or p&p cost?
