Re: max boost on pump gas?
I wouldn't do that on AFR heads. They come out of the box ported.
AND they recommend to NOT gasket match or at least my 165's did

Re: max boost on pump gas?
Gasket match where you can...it makes power.
Keep in mind I have the flat-top pistons and some sweet Eagle H-beams for a 347. Plus I can get you the rest of a stroker-kit too. http://forums.qwiksnake.com/showthread.php?t=4714

Re: max boost on pump gas?
do you guys suggest any other mods to meet that bump, or any estimates of HP if you think i'll be higher, because 400rw is just my goal i wouldnt mind making more
also any suggestions on ways to improve low end torque(besides a final drive change) becuase even if i dont make my HP goal torque is what is really gonna matter to me, any ideas on what a combo like this would make torque wise?

Re: max boost on pump gas?
a 347 will have plenty of torque down low

Re: max boost on pump gas?
Running a 306 with a KenneBell Blowzilla with 10# pulley and see 8# boost with 91 Octane. I think this about all you can push it on 91 Octane. 485 HP FW according to flow numbers datalogged. Have major problems hooking up with Nitto 275/40R17 drag radials, really have to feather the throttle :-)

Re: max boost on pump gas?
see the only reason i will run N/A is becuase i dont have the money to do the blower applicationi love watching the boost guage, hearing it whine, and the challange of hooking it up in my cobra but i am not willing to sell her to fund the 347 build

Re: max boost on pump gas?
Yeah the 347 will make plenty of low end grunt. That's the main advantage of bigger displacement.
